Cera Thermal Successfully Completed Cabot Japan 46TPH Chemical Waste Heat Recovery Furnace Project

Recently, Cera Thermal successfully completed the refractory lining design and installation project for the 'Cabot Japan 46TPH Chemical Waste Heat Recovery Furnace', including the dry-out procedure prior to shipment to Japan.

The project owner is Cabot, and the EPC contractor is SAACKE Energy Technology Equipment (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. SAACKE is a globally recognized industrial combustion system company with extensive expertise in industrial combustion and thermal energy applications, and has long been an important strategic partner of Cera Thermal. For this project, Cera Thermal was responsible for the complete refractory lining design, material supply, and installation works.

During the project execution, anchor welding and anti-corrosion coating application were first completed in Nanjing, followed by the refractory lining installation and dry-out works in Nantong. The overall refractory construction period lasted from January to March 2026.

The lining system was designed to meet the high-temperature operating requirements of the equipment while also ensuring excellent insulation performance and structural stability.

As an export project to Japan, this project imposed extremely stringent requirements on refractory lining quality, detail control, and dry-out procedures. Relying on the API 936 refractory installation standard and related qualification systems, Cera Thermal strictly carried out the lining installation, quality inspection, and dry-out works in full accordance with API 936 requirements, fully demonstrating our construction management capability and quality control standards for high-level international projects, while ensuring the equipment arrives on site in optimal operating condition.

At present, several technical and construction management personnel within Cera Thermal have obtained API 936-related certifications and have accumulated extensive international project experience in petrochemical plants, incinerators, thermal oxidizers, and high-temperature industrial furnace applications.
