Low-porosity mullite castable is a dense refractory material formulated with mullite clinker as the main raw material, supplemented by ultrafine powder and high-efficiency water reducers. Its core characteristics include low porosity and high compactness, along with excellent high-temperature volume stability, thermal shock resistance and chemical corrosion resistance. It is less prone to structural looseness or deformation at high temperatures, and has good construction performance—it can be cast after mixing with water, with rapid strength improvement after curing. Compared with ordinary mullite castables, it has more outstanding thermal insulation and erosion resistance, and its service life is significantly prolonged.
This material is widely used in high-temperature industrial fields such as metallurgy, building materials and petrochemicals.
In the metallurgical industry, it can be used as the working lining of ladles and tundishes, as well as the lining of blast furnace hot blast stoves.
In the building materials industry, it is suitable for key parts such as ceramic roller kilns and regenerator lattices of glass kilns. In the petrochemical field, it is applied to the lining construction of cracking furnaces and reforming furnaces.
In addition, it is also suitable for the lining of various high-precision heat treatment furnaces, meeting the needs of complex working conditions where high temperature, strong scouring and corrosive media coexist.
