Silica aerogel is currently recognized as one of the most effective thermal insulation materials. The pore diameter of aerogel is smaller than the mean free path of air molecules, causing the air within the pores to remain almost static, thereby eliminating heat loss caused by air convection. In addition, the low density and nanoscale tortuous network structure of aerogel effectively block heat transfer through both solid and gaseous phases. Moreover, the enormous number of pore walls within the aerogel structure minimizes thermal radiation to an extremely low level.
Based on these three mechanisms, silica aerogel effectively suppresses all major modes of heat transfer, providing superior thermal insulation performance compared with conventional insulation materials.

Aerogel has a three-dimensional network structure that differs from conventional insulation materials. This structure effectively prevents sintering, deformation, and particle aggregation during long-term high-temperature exposure, ensuring a long service life.

The product is thin, lightweight, and low in density, with good tensile and compressive strength. It is easy to cut and install, offering high construction efficiency.

Aerogel is an inorganic material with excellent resistance to aging and weathering. It maintains good flexibility and tensile strength. Accelerated aging tests indicate a service life of more than 20 years.
