Fused mullite brick is a high-performance refractory material produced using fused mullite as the primary raw material through high-temperature melting and casting processes. Compared with sintered mullite bricks, fused mullite bricks exhibit a denser structure and improved corrosion resistance due to their different raw materials and manufacturing processes.
The main crystalline phase is mullite, providing a stable structure and excellent high-temperature performance.
High refractoriness under load and low high-temperature creep.
Good thermal shock resistance, with low tendency for cracking or spalling.
Excellent resistance to acidic and alkaline slag corrosion, with high chemical stability.
Moderate bulk density, high strength, and good abrasion resistance.
Excellent volume stability at high temperatures, with minimal permanent linear change.
Ceramic Industry: Linings of ceramic kilns (roller kilns, tunnel kilns), especially in high-temperature zones such as sintering zones, cooling zones, and kiln cars.
Glass Industry: Sidewalls, breast walls, and throat sections of glass melting furnaces; linings of glass tempering furnaces.
Metallurgical Industry: Linings of non-ferrous metal smelting furnaces (aluminum, copper), heat-treatment furnaces, and regenerator checker bricks.
Chemical Industry: Linings of high-temperature reactors, catalytic cracking units, and waste incinerators operating under corrosive conditions.
Other High-Temperature Applications: Thermal insulation layers of industrial boilers, linings of electronic component sintering furnaces, and refractory structures used in aerospace material testing equipment.
